Boomer Album Reviews started when I found the “1001 albums you must hear before you die” book. And I thought, well, if I must hear them before I die, that means my life will be extended, ’cause I’m old, and it’s going to take some time to make it through all 1001 of them. Plus, the list grows over time, which gives me the impetus to live even longer in order to make it through all of them. Which is pretty cool.

Also, it turns out I’m pretty “well listened”, as a musician friend put it (I could hear similarities in his solos, at the time, to Frank Zappa’s “Yellow Shark”, which, in a strange, cruel twist of fate, is not in the list, though it most emphatically should be).

My reviews are stream of consciousness, first draft masterpieces of writing. So enjoy them. Or not. Just be sure to check out the albums yourself to expand your experiences and consciousness.
