This is one of those albums your family will give you at Christmas when they can’t really think of something you like, so they grab something that a lot of people like, then wrap it up and hope for a reaction that is something better than a disingenuous “Hey, thanks, I’ve been meaning to buy this”.
You can put this album on at a party, and no one will object. But, they’re not going to start vibing to it either. It’s kind of like Fat Tire Ale – no one will say it’s their favorite beer, but no one will turn it down when you hand them one.
Suitable, but not an enthusiasm inducer.
