I like this. I was a little over the demographic age this was aimed at, but hey, I’ve always been a little slow and behind my peers. So there.
I like to think of this as sort of the heavy metal segment of grunge. It’s suitably dark and semi-violent in nature, which fits the bill for a heavy metal influence. But it’s also sort of lyrical at times, with subjects that are, if not contemporary for their time, at least peripherally relevant to their audience through vicarious influences such as movies and TV shows.
That was a pretty cool sentence to end with, as cheesy as it may sound. Oh, bugger, I’ve added two more lines, guess I messed that sentiment up a bit.
