This is the first time I have ever listened to any of this guy’s music.
Seems kinda odd, right? I presume, given the prevalence of media mentions of him, and all of the, shall we say, eccentricity associated with him and those around him, you would think that I would have been exposed to the actual stuff behind all of the craziness.
So, I listened to this with a, well, not exactly ‘open’, but at least ‘non-prejudiced’ mind.
Honestly, there was some really good music here. But, Kanye flapping his lips over it messed it up for me.
As with so many others in this genre, there is blatant racist language, an unbelievable abundance of curse words (using them so liberally dilutes their impact, children, remember that!), crass imagery, and implications of illegal activities.
For someone who openly professes to being Christian, he seems to be in direct conflict with his belief system. Perhaps he should reflect on that with his priest…
